我們衷心感謝PE Limited（Petex）公司慷慨捐贈10 套 MOVE Suite 教育版軟體授權給國立臺灣大學地質科學系。該軟體的商業總價值為2,506,898.78英鎊，約合新臺幣一億元。

MOVE Suite 是一套功能強大的地質建模軟體平台，具備先進的 2D 與 3D 構造分析、地質剖面重建、斷層運動學與地質力學分析等工具。此套軟體的引入，將大幅提升本系教學與非營利性研究的能量。

這些授權將廣泛應用於碩博士班課程與研究計畫，應用領域涵蓋（但不限於）：構造地質與地體構造、斷層褶皺與剖面平衡分析、地熱能源與碳捕存（CCS）場址特性調查、區域應力場重建與盆地演化研究等。

我們已詳閱並完全同意 Petex 所提供的「教育授權」條款。本次捐贈充分展現 Petex 對全球地球科學教育與研究的長期承諾與支持。我們對於這份支持深表感謝，相信其將為本系學生與研究人員帶來深遠的正面影響。

We are pleased to formally acknowledge the generous donation from PE Limited (Petex), which has provided the Department of Geosciences at National Taiwan University with 10 academic licenses of the MOVE Suite software. The total commercial value of this software package is £2,506,898.78, approximately 100 million New Taiwan Dollars (NTD).

The MOVE Suite provides a powerful platform for geological modeling, offering advanced tools for 2D and 3D structural analysis, cross-section restoration, fault kinematics, geomechanics, and more. Its integration into our department’s educational and research environment will significantly enhance our capacity to train students and conduct high-quality, non-profit academic research.

These licenses will be utilized in a wide range of Master’s and Ph.D.-level courses and non-commercial research, including but not limited to, structural geology and tectonics, fault-related fold analysis and cross-section balancing, subsurface structural interpretation for geothermal energy and carbon capture and storage (CCS) site characterization, regional stress field reconstruction and basin evolution studies.

We have reviewed and fully agreed to the terms outlined in Petex’s “Educational Licenses” document. This donation reflects Petex’s outstanding commitment to supporting geoscience education and research worldwide. We are deeply grateful for their support, which will directly benefit both students and researchers in our academic community.
