Application of the Diamond Anvil Cell technique to the study of hydrocarbon generation; and hydrocarbon gas generation kinetics was studied using confined pressure pyrolysis with particular emphases on the effects of mineral-water inter-reactions at subsurface conditions along with gas-sediment interaction during gas hydrate formation (Hung, W.L.); surveyed the distribution and delineated the sources of potential gas hydrate deposits offshore, southwest Taiwan; and unusually high methane concentrations were found at some diapiric ridges (Yeh et al., 2004)
